- Known Parahuman Abilities: Erik Sandoval is a teleporter with an extremely long range. Furthermore, he needn’t have been to the location in order to travel there, but he does need at least some information about it, such as a picture or GPS coordinates. He can bring up to 1,600 lbs. of personnel and equipment with him, making him most useful as a squad-transport operative.
Private First Class Erik Sandoval joined the US Army because he wanted to travel. The US had been at peace for so long that war seemed unlikely. Unfortunately for Sandoval, Iraq invaded Kuwait sparking Operation Desert Storm, in which he became a reluctant participant.
His Talent manifested as his infantry platoon, deployed in support of the armored divisions were surprised by fire from the Republican Guard. His squad became cut off by intense fire. As his fellow soldiers retreated and his squad became further and further stranded by the advancing Republican Guard, Sandoval and his entire squad suddenly found themselves back in their barracks, hundreds of miles away.
The war was over with blinding speed, and Sandoval found himself stationed in Kuwait. He fell in love with the culture and the people of the Middle East, and even after his tour of duty was complete, he traveled extensively there as a civilian utilizing photos and maps to target in his newfound teleportation abilities. He had great dreams of starting up a tour-guide company where American tourists would pay a high fee for instantaneous travel to picturesque locations.
Section 2, however, needed a high-range transport specialist who could go to places he had never been. Again, he found himself reluctantly recruited.
