Robert Keffer’s career as an Air Force pilot was cut short by migraines relegating him to desk-jockey duty. When he got out, however, he bought a small prop airplane that he would commonly take up with his friends.
One afternoon Keffer and three friends were flying over Colorado when the engine stalled out. Keffer desperately tried looking for a highway or open field to emergency-land in, but it was rugged hills and forest as far as he could see. Suddenly, with a sonic boom, the plane fell away and Robert and his friends were flying at incredible speed.
He told his old Air Force contacts about his new Talent and word got to Section 2 which actively recruited him as a Transport Operative. He has served with enthusiasm ever since.
